Dreams@@ And Artemis Fowl
Nov. 22nd, 2002 07:14 pmI dreamt that I was in a group with mah softball team, and we were outside on the patio with some timpani@.@ and then I had to go inside, to get ready to go to a summer camp we were all going to
There was something about a watch, but that's irrelevant, and then we left, and it was about five o'clock in the afternoon.. it was summer time, but the time flew like winter. We got there, and it looked like morning while we went through the gate, and we unpacked our stuff in this large house, that coincidentally looks like a cross between Grandma Jo's trailor, my grandparents house, and Betty's house. Actually, though, it's Artemis Fowl the Senior's house.
And anyways, after it got dark, I followed someone outside after lights out, and found some other people out there. They were watching the shooting stars. One boy there, I dunno what his name was now, but he was all cool and geeky, and he was pointing out that they weren't actually meteors. They were some sort of things set off by an Islamic group of some kind a few miles away, and he had a tray with little tiny buckets of powders in them.
They were all different colors, and he showed us how he could predict how the next one would come across the sky and what color it'd be. He demonstrated it by knocking the mini-bucket over with his finger, and spreading the purple powder across the tray, and a minute later, a bright purple light streaked across the sky.
Then, Mrs. Scarber, a fifth grade teacher, who was a counselor at the camp, came outside, and started looking for people breaking lights out. We turned out the flashlight, and someone tried to hide under or beside or behind at any rate me, but she found us anyways, and she told me that I had to say hi to Sarah(who's actually a friend of mine@@) and do some other things the next morning for punishment.
I don't remember ever going asleep, 'cause when I got inside, it was like 10:00 and the sun was brightly shining. I explored around the dorms or whatever, and went into the next groups' dorm. There was a high ceiling and lots of windows, 'cause it wasn't dark in there, and the only thing that emitted light was the television that they turned on. I remarked about it, and said that their having a tv was kewl and stuff, and went back t'other way
Anyways, going down the hall, past my dorm thingy(which corresponds to Cory's room at Grandma Jo's) I saw Mrs. Scarber ahead of me, and followed her into another large area. I dunno exactly, but I saw a stuffed animal, or maybe a person.. It was either some sort of bear or Artemis Fowl the second, and went around a few big rambling turns and stuff. Then, I heard Mrs. Scarber talking to the boy that predicted the lights
He was telling her about a secret attic he'd found and how to get into it. You had to move a round panel behind a pillar, and have it about five inches out. Then, you grabbed the top of it, and swung your body around and up, landing in a low ceilinged crawlspace. We all got up there, and Mrs. Scarber found a cloth covering of some kind, that when pulled back, revealed hundreds of old books, the kind with faded green, brown, or red covers.
We crawled around looking for them, and went back down to the lower floor. Later though, I decided to go back up, and crawled around(it was well-lit, btw). I ran into a bump in the floor after several soft spots where I feared the ceiling/floor would give in, and thought there was a body under it@.@ I realized though, that it was just a prelude to a long drop to a lower section, where I could stand up.
In front of me, there were dozens of portraits, of Russian and/or Germanic looking people who seemed to be in politics. Some of them had a vaguely colorish tint, and I wondered at that, 'cause none of them could be less than 100 years old(which is sorta impossible today isn't it? photography hasn't been around for the 200 years that those portraits were@@) Only one stands out in my mind.. but I canna describe it exactly...
And that would be the annoying spot where one wakes up>.
