Mm, yeah, I think I said I'd do this..
Well, it's odd having the bus come about ten minutes later, but I'm not complaining.
And class starts *AFTER* eight o'clock, aah.. much nicer -_- Stupid IF last year..
Well, first hour, I have beginning art for a semester (next semester I'll have speech). So far, we've done a picture representing ourselves with lines and colors and stuff.. I can't recall at all what we did yesterday though, but today, we were like going over contour lines, and practiced drawing stuff without looking at the paper. Shoes and a chair. Heh, I couldn't hardly go back to looking back and forth after forcing myself to try not to look for four pictures..
Then, second hour is math. This class is usually pretty nice, all decently intelligent people, mostly, even if they're slightly immature like *coughs* blake and eric:P And since we're mostly quiet, he hasn't complained much when we all just start laughing at someone doing something stupid, accidentally.
Although, we have had homework three days in a row@.@ It's not too bad though, easy stuff right now, mostly
The beginning of third hour is supposed to be AR period, school-wide, but I have english that hour anyways-_- But we only got AR books today, so I guess we'll have to start tomorrow.. That's for about ten minutes, and then for the next ten is coke break^^ (Gah, I missed that the last year...) There's usually people selling stuff in the commons, so that's cool, and there's always the coke machines out in the courtyard..
Anyways, like I said, english is third hour. We've been mostly testing to see how much comprehension of grammar we have.. seeing as we've been all taught by different teachers and stuff.. (I've had mrs. fields the last two years, the others have either had her, mrs. hull, or someone completely different.) That was scary, missing twenty-one questions on the pre-test we took.. which thankfully wasn't for a grade@.@;; I need to think of some stuff about irony to present to the other ten people or so in the class tomorrow... Sarah and I are doing theme and irony.. as drawn by the purple slips:P
Today, she sent us to the library, which is conveniently across the hall from Mrs. Thompson's classroom(heh,, or one of the doors that lead to them are adjacent... there's way more doors and way fewer windows at the highschool:/ That's the good thing about Art and band.. at least you can see outside then.. the other classes are either on the inside blocks, or have the shades irrevokably drawn -_- I mean, even in mrs. van es' class last year, I spent a long time just staring at the bricks on the wall, which was just about all you could see from it.. You didn't have to look in mrs. prince or mr. lindemann's classes^^ it would've helped immensely in mrs. stewart's class though -_- she just had one tiny window behind her desk.. so I'd try to look out the door:D) And I got Sword of Shannara.. I've never read much Terry brooks, but my mom seems to enjoy them, so I thought I'd give it a try.
Fourth hour is science (breaking a *THREE* year tradition.. third hour science.. sixth, seventh, and eighth grades.. Mr. Grimes and Mr. Lindemann.. even though sixth grade felt more like second hour, being right after cokebreak.. and besides, band was first hour, and didn't count as a class^^) with Mrs. Shott.. who my friends have termed 'Umbridge' ^^ One of them said he'd asked her if he could call her Delores or Umbridge^^;;; She's all right, but Sarah has complained about her trying to make jokes and failing:P It'll be bearable, though.. I just hoped I remembered most of the steps in writing up a lab in that quiz today@.@
After science is lunch.. Ah, the good side of bringing a lunch.. no standing in horrible long lines for the regular and a la carte lines.. Plus, it's definately cheaper than the a la carte line;) And it isn't cardboard like the regular line.. heh
Then, we go t00b around outside, under the 100 degree sun, on green benches^^ THen, we head back in for fifth hour.. which I've been late to.. twice@@:;;;; Although, the first time, Coach mills wasn't there, and the second, I had permission^^;;
Health is rather.. boring -_- Did a four page (front and back) outline of the first chapter.. which was twenty one pages.. Took about three hours in all, and my poor unused to writing finger has been red all day.. not raw anymore, at least.. well.. not very.
Then, sixth hour is BAND!!!:DDDDDDDD The saving grace of the afternoon.. Inbetween the depths of boredom in health, and the mind-racking tinniness of Civics.. Today, the percussion section stayed inside while the rest of the band started learning spots outside.. We were supposed to have afternoon practice today, but since two people couldn't come, it sorta got canceled.. I mean, five out of seven isn't much, especially if the parts aren't doubled up.. It's hard enough practicing without the rest of the band.. When you memorize music, you learn to listen for a lot of cues, and most of them are in the easier to hear sections.. Ie- trumpets mostly. Sometimes the saxes and low brass.. On a rare time, it'll be the woodwinds.. those aren't the best to use, because they're *REALLY* hard to hear usually. especially on the field where sound carries differently. Best to use something loud and obnoxious, and easy to recognize. Anyways..
Then, seventh hour.. Civics -_- Meh, I'm all ready in a group with megan murphy -_- (as opposed to the lovely megan veazey;)) And now nathan's got his class switched to having civics third hour:/ And then rachel leaves at the semester -_-
Oh well, Mrs. Friga said we'd be likely switching 'neighborhoods'
Ours is named two Seventy one;)
And our neighborhood sign is a smiley face^^ in the shape of a stop sign:D Black and gold! Allaway!
Anyways, yeah.. This is long enough, I think^^
