Dec. 3rd, 2004 09:59 pmjr girls won.
sr. guys won.
the sr girls were winning when we left
(sorry jr guys, I won't stay from 4:30-9:30 just so I can see *all* of you people's games. hah)
good night for the apaches.
I've decided to play the bells for as long as mr. ray doesn't take them to the middle school (those stupid kids wrote the notes on the keys. people keep asking me 'y did u write the notes on the keys?' except not like that because it's outloud. but still. I know my notes, thankyouverymuch. it's the third year I haven't been using that stupid bell kit that has the notes ingrained *into* the metal. (I left the notes written in on the school's bell set because 1) I figure the poor middle schoolers need them, and 2) I'm lazy, and 3) those keys get friggin' cold and I'm not touching them)
but it's easier to lug around than the xylophone, if it isn't as much fun to play (I want my.. *thinks* I know the high note on the xylophone is a G, then there's another G, and another, and the low note *may* be another G, but I'm not sure. it definitely has more notes than the bells, even if the bells are better placed. (I've gotten into the habit of playing octaves and jumping octaves randomly on the xylophone, as per taste. the whole 'man, where's my other octaves at?' thing is getting to me.
oh, and at the parade today (two parades in two days. misery. shoot me now. It was just about worse than the christmas parade last night, if not much much warmer, and easier to stay in step. For some reason, I cannot play chop on the bells at all. I think it's the whole 'hey, I've never marched the bells before this year!' thing.) the stupid keyboard fell *OFF* the carrier , hit my knee and flipped over and landed on the keys.
the lower G is popped completely out now. it had one side out, and the bottom would pop out, and you'd pop it back on the screw. well, G is sitting in the workroom. I don't know what mr. ray did with the little rubber holder thing. probably left it somewhere. oh well.
anyways. tiredness. w00t.
birthday party tomorrow. dad is still sick. should be interesting.
