May. 2nd, 2007 10:55 pmstu's prom was gr8. I am super busy until next week when I am then done with classes, and he just sent me all the pictures we'd taken today (120 mb worth!) so I will commence editnation um, next week?
Man, this year has just about worn me out. I think I'll go to bed early tonight(like right now)
um, if you read stu's journal, you'd seen that lol the first flight out of LITTLE ROCK was cancelled, luckily there was an identical one leaving one hour later!
Barely made that one though. Got to the airport and had to wait in line to get my boarding pass behind these other people who hadn't already rescheduled their flights, which was annoying, but there were like 50 people waiting in line to go through security!
So on the intercom, when I was still behind one more lady to go through the metal detector, I heard 'allison byrum please report to gate 12'
Then 'northwest passanger allison byrum, please come to the boarding gate for departure in two minutes'
So I shoved my laptop back in the bag, flung either bag over either shoulder and took off.
Sadly I am very out of shape and the run across an entire municipal airport made me wonder if I wasn't asthmatic! Once i got on the plane though, I could breathe a little easier, and the stewardess got me a cup of water and a wet cloth to wipe my face with, and I seriously needed it.
After that though, everything was hunky dory. I got to speak French to a french girl who was travelling to Boston out of Detroit, and I didn't lose my luggage or anything, and we got back to stu's house like 12? 1? I don't remember. I fell asleep for a while.
Next day got up fairly early, piddled around for a couple of hours, his mom did my hair really neatly; she braided it into a million little braids and then pinned them up and curled the ends and it was so cool looking; if only she had used more bobbypins!
got dressed, stu was hawt in his tux, took millions of pictures, got chaffeured to the place they were holding it at, got announced as we went in (wtp was up with that? it was weird) found his friends, got pictures taken by a photographer, took more pix, etc ate, went on a carriage ride (it was great:]) danced to some terrible music, etc
Apparently pottsville is the only school in the world that has a good afterprom; greenville's looked like it was just dancing, so stu and I ditched it and sat in his car for an hour and a half, because we were going to go to some girl's house, and we talked for a while and I dozed off, and then we went to the chix's house but they were just watching casino royale and it was REALLY COLD so we went home and slept there instead!
sunday we didn't really do much. we played uno and I got mad at stu for being so mean to me in playing! I think we didn't change out of pajamas all day. we were going to watch the wayne's world movie, but I fell asleep after like half an hour of it. stu finished it I guess and woke me up so I could go to bed!
monday we got up early because he and his friends were going to do an announcement at his school, but most of them forgot and he was nervous because someone told him it was senior skip day and he was skipping for an entirely different and ttly valid reason! but we went home and I watched Sixteen Candles while he fell asleep and then got lunch afterwards. Then it was harecord paxing time and we were on the road to Indy with his dad, during which time I ttly fell asleep. and later he did too!
nothing after that is very interesting. My flights were perfectly normal (finally), I had ice cream and played a lot of tetris. Man. If you guys have a mac, download Quinn. It's very nice. Kept me sane.
and now I need to memorize my lines for the play except I haven't done that a bit yet, but maybe I can today sometime. feh. its' monday :(
