take offs and landings
Aug. 5th, 2008 10:59 pmI think this was the easiest parting stu and I have done; I didn't cry at all, and I think a big factor is seeing him again in two and a half weeks (at SCHOOL OMP), but also a general lack of anxiety due to citalopram. My stomach got in a knot when we drove up to Indy, but that was because it was the first time the two of us had gone to the airport alone and we kinda uh, got a little lost trying to find a gas station 8) (and the gas we did find was freaking twenty cents more expensive than the surrounding environs! and forty cents more expensive than here in russvegas!)
but yeah, finally had a flawless Northworst I mean northwest experience, even got in a few minutes early; mom was staring over my head at the arrivals display when I was waving from the escalator xD
anyways, my parents have taken the initiative to start remodelling the bathroom, so it's completely torn up-- carpet uprooted, the tub removed, a hole in the WC wall (the tub was kinda bulit into it), etc etc; there was also a whole new section of wallpaper exposed and it's amazing! it kinda matches the doorway in the other bathroom and it's a rock cliff with little yellow mountain flowers. I hope we can find some awesome old-school wallpaper and not some simpering print of sailboats or frogs or whatever. If not, I'm just going to figure out the best way to patch up the scratches they did getting the tub out.
Also a shoutout to
shoeshine_boy; I finally got my christmas origami from him, and it was definitely worth waiting for <3333
There's a little yellow catfish, a green lizard and frog, a lavender rose and a huge black dragon. I put them on the mantle in the living room :D
