rubahoh geeze.
Explain to me why I did this?
Okay, so mom and I went to hastings before we did our grocery shopping-- use all those gift cards people give us.
I went and got Monstrous Regiment (took me long enough) and lost continent. Then I thought 'hey, what happened to that book on salvatore dali?' so I looked for that for a while, but couldn't find it, and just looked at the 'how to draw manga' books. I figured I didn't need them, what with all the groovy stuff that's online, so I was like 'hey mom, I'm ready' 'cause she had said she'd found all her books earlier.
We head towards the door, and I take a couple of detours hoping to find a graphic novel section, and no go. I catch up to her and suggest looking at the cds, since she had wanted a replacement Golden Earring cd, and into the games and music section we go.
I look at the rock and pop shelf for about twenty seconds before leaving it. I figure I'll head to the back to look at the shirts they have, when a COMIC BOOK display caught my eye.
"ompwtp? YAY"
however, it was just actual comic books. I get disappointed, and then I got to the back of the shelf on the next aisle.
"OMP WTP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY"
an honest to gosh graphic novels slash manga section.
I could die.
Hastings, I am so proud.
(they didn't have any sandman that I could see, so I celebrated the occaision by getting the first volume of the trigun manga. Surprisingly, it's both right--left and has more of it in it than I thought. Well worth my 15 bucks. (or three 22 rather, the gift cards paid for the rest of everything. They also had trigun maximum, but I figure I've almost got a .rar done of that, and they only seemed to have a third one. nononono)
You have grown, my little friend. Now, if next time you'll have both sandman and johnny the homicidal maniac, my life will be fulfilled.
