Winamp is really loud when you're listening from the hallway and it's playing down 30-50 ft of kitchen and dining room. well, after you return to the computer it is.

And for more intellectual strain--

I was thinking during breakfast on Sunday about the term 'mutually exclusive'. People use it a lot. It's two things that never have anything to do with each other, broadly speaking. (like you draw two circles and they don't intersect)

I got to thinking about the inverse, mutually *inclusive* things. Two things that have everything to do with each other.

And it's hard to think of examples. You might think of something like 'grass and greeness' but grass can be yellow, and things other than grass can be green. That second bit is the kicker. "All living dogs have skin" is true, yes, but not all skin is on living dogs. See what I mean?

Dad and I came up with a couple though. Mass and gravity was his, Christmas and the month of December was mine. (he tried to say 'but what about the middle east countries?' Well, they don't call their month december, and even if they did, christmas would still occur whether they celebrated it or not)

there was some stuff about mothers and females and eggs. I think dad tried to say mothers and eggs, and I pointed out that some mothers adopt *and* I'm not a mother, but I've put out plenty of eggs. He sorta sputtered but mom just sorta smiled and nodded.

Can you guys think of anything else that's mutually inclusive?

Here's a thought... this mutual inclusion thing would make a great discussion at BST. Post it over there!
