went outside in my boredom to watch the stars last night. Saw a shooting one. Prayed a wish.

This morning I cleaned my keyboard rather thoroughly xD I knew better than to take the space bar out, and the two shifts didn't want to come out so I left all three in.
(shift has this weird bar that reaches around that gave me a lot of trouble the last time I popped the keys out)

oh hey, if you have a laptop, don't do this xD but if you have a normal keyboard that needs cleaning, just take a small flat head screw driver and gently pop the keys up. They're easy to pop and have a lot of tension, so be prepared for them to fly places. The keys are just plastic, so you can wash them in soapy water, especially if they're really sticky (mine have cokes spilt on them a lot xD) You can take a q-tip and some soap to run in between the rows as long as you don't get very much over the little holes that hold the keys in place. Too much water causes short circuits you know xD just don't touch anything not plastic and you'll be fine.

They're easy to pop back in, except for the space bar like I mentioned, just try to get them in the right order xD

Hey - a question - if you do have gunk under your laptop keyboard is there *any* safe way to clean it effectively or am I forever resigned to an unclean keyboard? ;)

no, put them in dvorak order but type qwerty! it'll come out in qwerty.

or put them in dvorak order, download like a dvorak patch or whatever so it'll come out in dvorak, but type in qwerty.

or put them in random order and see how good your touch-typing is.

or...I could go on for hours. xD

*nods* Probably wise. :) I was sort of hoping that when the laptop engineer took it apart this week he might clean it whilst he was there but no such luck. Bah.

but i like it there. makes it more homely :)
