rubahMegan and Riley still ended up having a surprise birthday party during lunch.
I sorta suspected they were doing something with a cake, as riley borrowed mr. ray's lighter (he's a compulsive chain smoker) during band before lunch.
Apparently they had made a wicked crazy cake decorated more fit for christmas than any birthdayxD the night before. So they conned some people into showing up in Mrs. hesselbein's room during csu leadership. I was wondering why all those people were there xD Usually leadership has ten people, including me. There were at least 5 more there today:O (most of my friends help lead CSU anyways; we're such good christian kids :P)

wow.
rough draft is due tomorrow. Wrote for an hour and got it
finished. (I had the first paragraph done. and way too much information
to include)
It's two pages back and front, so four over all.
I sure hope I can read it tomorrow. my right hand was almost beyond the other side of writer's cramp.
(my
wrists have had a work out today-_- I practiced rolls like a demon in
band today because I figured out how to make them faster by gripping
more with my ring fingers-- I've been doing that with my right hand and
like what's coming out, so I've tried to start doing it with my left
hand. Finger started hurting, but I was getting some killer rolls off,
and the tryout material with the double stops all the way through
sounds a lot nicer with the newandimproved rolls (it makes me a little
less accurate, but not enough to cause a problem. getting the roll
transitions to sound better is more important. I've already worked on
note accuracy)
I hope I'm not sick tomorrow. I'm going to try and get sleep. I've been missing out on an hour the last two nights-_-
couldn't
print art contest picture off bigger than letter size. I hope that
doesn't kill my chances of winning:/ Digital media is still pretty rare.
(how
can a school with four computer labs only have ONE printer(plotter?
what's a plotter?) capable of printing at bigger than 11x8.5inches?
I
thought about taking it to town to a printers, but by the time I got
home, my parents said 'omg you'll never get that done by 4:30!!' so
it's stuck at letter size.

Today was fun. I'm not sure why, I think it's
because it didn't feel like a Friday, so internally, it was like having
a short week of school.

amy's birthday party was rather fun. We spent the entire time playing on the playground, more or less.

me, megan, hannah (the freshman) and robin (my cousin) got shed of our
shoes, because there was water everywhere. We sorta sat on this long
snake teeter-totter thing for a while. then went to the other
playground equipment (it was at Old Post Park at the Lock and Dam)

and there's something to be said for infant baptism.

the weather's rained a lot, but in the pretty way. LA's a lot like I remember-- pretty:)
Apparently
Lafayette is a larger city than I suspected, the street we're living on
is one of the larger ones in town and has all the stuff I could ever
want on it:oooo (we looked in teh phone book, and within a six block
radius is a movie theater, a mall, a gas station, and a public library,
which we plan on going to today)
Saw Revenge of the Sith, and it
was friggin' fantastic. Even Megan liked it, and she's hardly got a
clue about SW and is averse to sci-fi.
I lost my envelopes, so I'm working on that today:oooo

Woke up really sleepy this morning, but blame for that has already been assigned~
Hmm. It was really hot out practicing during band today. Even just standing it was friggin' hot:O
We're
supposed to order our class rings tomorrow-- I have one picked out, I
think. Gold with an apache on one side and a drumline thing on the
other side, with aturquoise blue zirconium stone. Dad said he thought it sounded pretty.
We
have to do this distance perspective picture in art. I'm doing a desert
scene with cacti reaching back to some mountains. I dunno, I like
cactuses. Makes it feel sorta homey, with all the prickly pear and
yucca we have here xD and not to mention the roadrunners. Anyways, it's
a night scene, and I felt all rememberful of last year helping Asha
paint the props for Hall of the Mountain King (which I designedX.x;). I
was so proud of that:O We had some nice purple paint for the mountain,
and got some awesome lame-o texture by using a piece of paper towel
instead of a brush. I wish mr. ray would unlock the extra storage room
so I could show riley it. But yeah, more purple mountains xD Except
Mrs. Jones doesn't have any purple paint, so I had to make my own
X.x;;; She said the she would order more. I think I'll take some of
mine to school tomorrow.
Should I run for class officer next week?
I
always sorta wanted to be one of those, but I never could get elected.
Like ever. That might be one of the subconscious reasons that I don't
like politics xD Or I say I don't, anyways. But I could always pick
something obscure, like treasurer or something.

I had to march in my socks.
Tyler,
a trombone that plays football and hasn't worn his uniform to march in
hardly any, forgot his shoes. So Mr. Ray asked me, Kathryn, and Riley
in the pit if we'd let him wear our shoes. and of course my feet are
the only ones that are anywhere near big enough:O
Then he told
me afterwards that the sole had ripped off :O I don't think he did it;
they're old shoes, they were probably two or three years old when *I*
got them in eighth grade, but we've been through a lot together. I
bought them from Mr. Ray for ten bucks when I was in eighth grade, and
I remember carrying my "new" black band shoes; a veritable sign that I
really *was* in this marching band with all these awe-inspiring high
school students.
But the fact remains that the sole on the
left shoe (which has had some nasty scuffs on it these last years) can
just about be pulled all the way off.
Mr. Ray said we'd look in
his stock of shoes to see if he had any others that fit me; it'd be
sorta neat if the band boosters put in to get me a new pair since I had
sacrificed wearing mine for the sake of the band xD
anyways, our
flagline got a division I, so did percussion and the whole band got a
composite (1, 1, 2) one. I'm not particularly thrilled about the
performance, of course I was in my socks, and my stomach was aching
badly and it was friggin' hot and I was sweating profusely, but we did
better than we did last night I'm sure.
We really need to work the music in victim of love:O at least in mine and the trumpets' at C. -.-
Anyways, we were six points from getting forth place overall.
On
the bus before we left, it was hot, so I was trying to open our window,
since riley seemed to be unable to get it xD And I was pulling it down,
and I guess I left my ring finger stick out too far, because it just
got SLAMMED in it. and it hurts typing with it now xD it's got a nasty
black and purple spot on the side xD
but with all the dirty
jokes they told on the way home, I sorta managed to forget it some xD
The best one was jennifer's about the voodoo penis xD
I think
david thinks I like him xD I hope not, because I don't really. I just
want him to treat me like the other girls, and not immediately discount
anything I say xD

Just got back from Harold's.
It's not Harold and Frona's any longer, since about 9:00 this morning.
Frona was tish and amy's grandma, and she was just about as much of a grandma as mary and sue are to me.
Kids, this is why you don't smoke.
Seventeen is pretty good so far.
