Heh, I love how my parents let me argue with them on their level.

Dad and I had somehow gotten into trying to figure out what space was. We came to the conclusion that it was anti-matter and could be infinitely compacted. From there, we started discussing what was on the outside of the Universe, and whether it was finite or not.

I was all for that the Universe had an end, and the rest of it ran in a Mobius loop, but dad said he thought that it was infinite. He said that when he was little, he thought that the universe was like a rusty pot with holes in it, and when God looked through it it was the sun and all the holes let the stars' light through.

My argument for what was outside the 'wall' at the end of universe was that there were a bunch of zeros.

Since we decided that space was anti-matter, it was something, not nothing, so only 0 was nothing, and if there was an end to the universe, nothing was outside it, and that left only zeroes.

Yeah, like i said, fun.

this has absolutely nothing to do with what it is that you have just written, but you have caused the cells in my brain to remember something from yesterday.

we went to a family thingy that nick's parents have on Memorial Day every year because nick's mom's sister comes to visit then. She and her husband happen to be the couple from Russellville! I, of course, mentioned that i'd been there last september. i honestly thought she was going to reach across the table and slap me around, this little teeny pentecostal lady in her long skirt and with her hair in a bun, for not coming to see her. "Where did you go again?" she asked. And when i told her, she said "That's five miles from where we live, missy! And you didn't come to see us!" [ok, she didn't tack on the 'missy' part] It was all very, very amusing. She knows where Phillips Rd. is, too, because she works for the water company. I couldn't remember what the air-conditioning company was called, but i said if they ever needed their heating or AC fixed, they should call you :) Let me see, what is their name .. William and Vivian [Bib] Wade.

I swore up and down and sideways that i would come to see her and i would go to see mt. nebo [nick freaked out that he will have to actually climb it - he hates heights]. And i was like, yeah, i passed that park on the way there, what's it called, Toad Squish Park? i'm so dorky. and the other weird thing is that the friend of mine, the older one with the kids, tom -- all of *his* family is from arkansas, too @_@ but i can't remember where, except they lived in little rock when tom was a kid.
