Today started off, Nicole got her last and final 'Secret Santa' present for the thing our group had been doing, and she got a bow, which she stuck on her head. I claimed the next bow, and when she got another, it got passed to me. I followed suit, and stuck it on my head, where it stayed the rest of the day. People asked me if I was someone's present, I said 'yes, I am' but didn't mention Yoga, except to Hannah.
Went through the day, thought more and more about the bow and presentness, and developed ideas to follow up on when I got home. Realized about fifth hour that today was Quiz Bowl practice and I'd forgotten to mention it to my dad or mom. Decided to skip, and didn't try to figure out a way to tell Mrs. Jones or Mrs. Drake. Went home, went to WalMart with Dad, got the last of my Christmas presents for people, and came back home. Tried to get online, but was thwarted for two hours. Couldn't get ahold of ark.net at all, not even by phone. Tired of this, went to read and watch That 70's show. Decided to take a shower, then wrapped presents.
Got done with the presents, decided to try again, and as you see now, it worked finally. Went to MH.com checked the Great Hall, saw a topic posted by yoga, and immediately read it. Was frightfully disheartened.
All those plans I'd figured up fifth hour and started to follow up on went down the drain. Closed psp immediately without saving a one of the things I'd done. Proceeded to cry my eyes semi-bloodshot.
Now, the thing is, three hours earlier, I had been imploring God.. "God, please, not *today*(our 11th month anniversary, ironically) of all days, please, I haven't talked to him for *days* please... my *only* way to communicate with him at all.. and it's taken away.. Oh God.."
I have a feeling now God was simply trying to protect me.
