Since my sixteenth birthday is fast approaching , my mother took it upon herself to bring me all the new driver literature to educate (or horrify) me.

As someone whose driving experience is only from playing Grand Theft Auto on an Xbox , the concept of road rules and other such things is a little , well , frightening.

I find myself thinking "Just run across the median!" or "Why don't we just bump that car out of the way and pass!" while sitting in the passenger seat of a vehicle when someone else is driving , and the fact that in just a touch more than a month I will be sitting behind the wheel of one is absoloutely terrifying.

So I began reading the book. For about...two minutes. It's a lot to take in if the only road rules you know are: Green Means go. Red means Stop. So I've decided that for today , I shall just breeze over the general concepts and get a little more in-depth learning when I begin re-reading it tomorrow.

I am thankful for the graduated liscencing program we have here in Ontario for forcing me to drive with an adult for the first eight months of my driving career. If it weren't for the fact that there would be another life in my hands , I would be...well , probably the world's most agressive driver.

But now , it is time to breathe. I'm having road rage just from reading the driver's handbook.

Well , I am comforted by the fact that when it comes times for me to be on the road on my own , I can skewer the offending drivers with my point-joints.

I played GTA once...I ran over a sweet old lady.

GTA is the best stress relief. Ever.
Nothing beats running over old ladies and hookers when you're pissed off!!

Heh, I didn't bother to read our little driver handbook thing until the day before my mom told me that I was going to take the written test to get my permit;)
