I love how just starting to play or to hear a song will nearly instantaneously open your mind to all the memories and body memory and mind memory you have of it.

I played Easy Medley today for the first time in a long time. I had run through most of it to refamiliarize myself, but not all, but when we played it in full band, I found myself not looking at my music, even when I got to the part I didn't go over.

We are supposed to find examples of Transcendentalism in songs, and john denver came to mind, so I've spent the day trying to remember the words to the Season Suite songs.

I could not remember how Spring went at all.

I knew the chorus, because it's the same as Summer, and I remembered exactly how the opening guitar was, but the words eluded me. It was making me mad because Spring was my favorite favorite favorite <3

So I came in here just now, opened it in winamp, and started singing along to it nearly immediately.

I'm sure I'll have forgotten it by tomorrow though. but that's okay.

Open up your eyes and see the brand new day
Clear blue sky and brightly shining sun
Open up your ears and hear the breezes say
Everything that's cold and gray is gone

Open up your hands and fe

OK, yeah, enough of this.
