Apr. 11th, 2003 10:44 pmBleh, haven't posted in forever. So much for 400 posts by the time the year's up.. Maybe three-hundred:P
Anyways, the last couple of days, we've been doing benchmark stuff.
Nothing no eighth grader-fourth grader that's been in the public school system for the last four years wouldn't know about.
Anyways, it's just a big standardized test that's heavy on writing and stuff, the ACTAAP or summat, and there's math, and reading, basically, with a couple of essays and a handful of open response paragraphs.
W00, we got to bring our cd players and listen to them in class, which rocked, and then yesterday, we went to the ball park for four hours.
Yeah, I'm sunburnt.
We had lots of fun though^.6
First, when we got there, our science teacher like demonstrated his model rockets, 'cause we'd just done the beginnings of space exploration in science. It was fun^.^ I chased after all of them, but only caught part of one that broke up into like three pieces. No explosions though:/ Heh, I dunno if I'm happy for Mr. Lindemann or sad that we missed a good potential pyrotechnics show^.^
Then, we realized they had started serving hamburgers, so we went and got some food and stuff, which was sorta awkward 'cause there were only so many plates and so many eighth graders... Got mine eaten mostly without one, and by the time I came across one, I was almost done, so I just sorta sat stuff on it and it disapeared after a while@.@;
After this, we went to ask if we could walk around the track, Nicole and me, and Joe too, but Mrs. Hull said no, something about not being able to see us:P Sheesh, if I'm there, that should put us in favorably even if Nicole is:P
So instead of around, we walked down between the softball field and the little league field, and talked and stuff. It was amusing:P Then, I kept suggesting we go stand in the little scoreboard boxes, and they finally agreed... Nine people can fit in those you know.. @.x;; Just in case you try to try it yourself, don't:P Take my word for it.. Nicole had trouble breathing when certain people got in:P
Kevin sorta got stuck with us in there, and Nicole and I, who were sitting on the sill, kept swinging our legs oh-so-threateningly in front of the guys, and the whole thing is like nine foot square, so Nathan, Joe, and Kevin were rather nervous for *some* reason:P When Hayden got in, he had Michael's baseball, which I snagged from him and threw out onto the little league field. Kevin eventually left, and went out on the field with a bat and tossed the ball up and hit the freaking thing to the fence@.@; That caught my attention, and I suggested we go and start hitting the ball. I couldn't get the ball and the bat, and other people had started coming over, so we ended up just starting a game. Eventually, we got a glove, so we had one of each: one bat, one ball, and one glove.
Noting the type of people there, of course, there were more than a few lewd jokes and profainity, but still, it was fun^.^ After a while though, all my friends left, so I deserted the game to go and find everyone. They were all down by the Tee-Ball field, twirling flags. That amused me, of course, 'cause I can't resist doing stuff like that, so I asked Hannah, who had to leave to get a bandaid to borrow her flag and started having fun twirling it, throwing my arm out, and tossing and catching it^.^ I can catch a toss pretty well, even if I can't remember how to do the funky elbow:P
Anyways, not like I'm trying out for flagline. Cody and Kevin (another kevin) should though^.^ Danette was taking kevin step by step, and Cody figured out how to do this kewl thing where he kicked it and it jumped up to his hand..
Even twirled two flags at once, now *that* was fun;)
Anyways, the two hours sorta passed quickly, we were left to ourselves mostly 'cause all the 'preps' or rather, the people that people that do the considering consider preps, who alternatively think the people considering are preps in themselves@.@; Yeah. Were playing softball with the teachers.. With gloves.. and balls.. and organization..
So we walked back to school, and hung out outside for the next fifteen minutes until the buses came.
So anyways, am sunburnt.
Anyone wanna play blitzball for me and get wakka some nice celestial weapons?
I suck at blitzball.
But at least I can get Auron's:DD Sessy shouldered Auron^.^
Must figure out how to get his break damage limit..
*goes to organize her *cough* helpful documents*
