Question

Is it worse to conform or to try to conform and fail?

[Poll #880680]

(I wish I had heard this song back when it was popular)

the middle one! at least if you're going to try and bandwagon with the rest of the world/society whatever, do it right.

I picked trying and failing. Sometimes you just naturally conform with what's going on. That's not so bad. With the other one, not only are you trying to change to fit in, your also failing at it. Double bad.

There's nothing wrong with conforming sometimes, but you shouldn't try to do it too often. And if you can't even do that, then that's pretty bad.

at least if you try to conform and fail, it can still be a good thing - perhaps you're too much of an individual, perhaps you're just too damn uber to fit in, so failing might give you reason to recognize your own ability, talent, and just plain UBERness that you maybe would not have realized if you'd been successful at conforming.

So I marked conforming as the worst.

They both suck, since by then, you've come to the realization that whatever you are is on the outside. :( Sadness.
