hide and seek

If you were a frenchy, would you have a scale?
If yes, where would you keep it? (your choices are: kitchen, closet, hallway, living room, music room, bathtub room, toilet room, bedroom, bedroom, stair landing, bedroom, master bedroom, bedroom, bedroom.)
If you had a girl that was probably anorexic in your house (very skinny, never eats, always being told to eat and ignoring it, red scars on her arms, black emo clothes), would you still have the scale?
Where could you hide it that the girl couldn't find it but the american host student who wants to know how this french food has been acting on her weight could?

You should just ask, silly!

It's in the closet or one of the bedrooms you shouldn't have access to. If they have one at all.

I'd agree that they mightn't have one at all. Maybe there's one available at the local mall, or surely at the gym...
If you think you're eating well, though, then maybe you don't need to worry about *your* weight? Unless you think you're losing weight, of course. You've got such a light build that a *little* weight gain wouldn't be a cause for concern :)

yes, I want to see if I've lost any, seeing as I gained about ten pounds over the last year (perceptive;y)

I'm French and I have no scale at home. :p

However, most people who have one have it in their bathroom. If you really need to check your weight and there isn't one at the house you're at (which means, you need to ask), try a pharmacy, a lot have self service "check your health" machines to see your tension, pulse, etc... Gyms might have scales too, dunno, you might have to pay for an hour at the gym first, though.
If you really, really (really) need to have your weight checked and want to waste money, go see a doctor and ask for a check-up.

hmm, I haven't actually gone into any of the pharmacies yet (the ones with the green cross for a sign) so maybe I will!

I don't really need to check, it's just I'm used to being able to do it any time at home xD

I was thinking that maybe you could just hide it in your bedroom, although that would probably raise awkward questions if someone found it and wanted to know why you were hiding scales in your room.

So I'd probably suggest just finding a public scale at a gym or something.
