so this hair cut thing
Jan. 30th, 2008 12:56 amman this has been the month of homework, for srsly. and I'm not entirely done ;o *slacker*
but the load is pretty solid, twice a week in physics, about that in cal (and oh so much more), once a week in gneg, daily for french, quizzes weekly in amerigov. I don't want to even THINK about studying for first tests.
Anyways, the hair yes.
My main thought with it so far has been 'what has this done to my hippie cred?'
And honestly I don't know. The hair has always kinda been there and I've always kinda been a hippie (albeit a web-hippie), so it's hard to separate the two in my mind, even though I know it has less to do with appearances(although i love those well!) than the life you live.
I've still recycled my cans, never worry.
Does anyone have any thoughts on the FEMA mobile homes sitting down in Hope, AR rotting away? I'm supposed to write an essay about the failure of an emergency called Katrina, and that's really the only facet I know much about ,so it's the obvious route.
There's also the integrity of the red cross that was cast into doubt, as well as the valiant non-effort of students in neighboring states to so much as throw a tampon in a box intended to aid the displaced.
But the ten thousand mobile homes just sinking into the ground. I hope I can get 500 words out of that.
Two classes this week have asked what we students did this weekend. I finished my magic deck (white/black) and whomped stu fairly well (he did get screwed of the mana though xD), surprised him!
I also watched D&D for the first time, and thought about sinking into that realm.
I mentioned the first in one class (french, so of course no one else understood what I said), but not the second. You just can't seem exciting playing dice games of chance compared to someone who went to oaklawn.
Another exciting event happened last night; a guy in my engineering section whom I have a pretty positive opinion of (that is, I have one. Most of the other freshman engineers haven't gotten that far!) stumbled out of his room asking how late the campus clinic was open. We told him it was closed, and when he stumbled out a second time, grimacing and gasping, I had to follow him.
Turns out he was having massive pains, but couldn't leave for the ER because his friend had gone off with his wallet to get him something from walmart. So i sat by him in the hall until another guy showed up who started the initiative to get numbers from the guy's mom etc, and just when they were out the door almost, the friend and co. returned, and after a confused moment of excited discussion, heightened by the elevator buzz, the guy got his wallet, and staggered into the night, apparently making it there okay, although I have not heard since what the cause was exactly or how long he'll live (hopefully 80+ years xD)
dorm life, eh?
(also last night, some girl was giving a disney songs concert in the showers while showering. another girl made requests. I know because I heard them in my room. with the door shut. at 12:30am)
any story requests?

"The bells rang once for the tarter, twice for the king and three times for a funeral procession."
